Dominic began singing on the cabaret scene, with his critically acclaimed recreation of  Broadway legend Ethel Merman's nightclub act. Dominic put this act together for Merman's 100th birthday, and performend it initially in a sell-out season at London's Jermyn Street Theatre. The show was featured on BBC Radio 4. With Merman Dominic also performed at the 1200 seat Blackpool Grand, the Oxford Playhouse, the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.

Dominic also performed his Ethel Merman show at the Aldeburgh Music Festival (at the Pump House) and at the Metropolitan Room in New York, and returned to Jermyn Street for another sell-out season. Other cabaret work includes four solo shows at The Pheasantry on King's Road, and appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe. Dominic is also pantomime dame for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

After a classical soprano and a harpischord player attended one of Dominic's cabaret shows he was inspired to explore the classical side of his voice, beginning weekly vocal lessons that took the operatic side of his voice beyond 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain'.

In 2014 Dominic gained an ATCL diploma, with distinction, from Trinity College London.
